{"id":4973,"date":"2023-05-22T15:25:59","date_gmt":"2023-05-22T05:25:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/ccch\/?p=4973"},"modified":"2023-05-23T15:27:27","modified_gmt":"2023-05-23T05:27:27","slug":"advancing-the-early-years-strategy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/ccch\/2023\/05\/22\/advancing-the-early-years-strategy\/","title":{"rendered":"Advancing the Early Years Strategy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Centre welcomes the establishment of a Commonwealth Early Years Strategy and its commitment to \u2018create a new integrated approach to the early years and prioritise the wellbeing, education and development of Australia\u2019s children\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The Early Years Strategy Discussion Paper, published in February 2023, sought to begin a national conversation about what we want for children and families, and how to direct our efforts to achieve these aspirations.<\/p>\n<p>The Centre prepared a response to the Discussion Paper. Our emphasis was on prevention, early intervention and redressing inequity and disadvantage to deliver the greatest benefits to children now and into the future.
