Brief: From consumer to partner"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Our new Policy Brief explores the nature and importance of partnerships between parents and professionals.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rch.org.au\/ccch\/policybrief\/\">\u2018From consumer to partner\u2019<\/a>\u00a0provides evidence-based insights for service providers, professionals and government on how to engage and work with families, particularly those who are experiencing vulnerability and\/or\u00a0those who\u00a0are marginalised.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The way we\u202fwork with families can be a powerful tool for engaging families in services and\u202fsupporting children&#8217;s health, wellbeing and development.\u202fYet, our current system of services and supports\u202fdoes not always succeed in\u202fconnecting\u202fwith families, particularly those experiencing\u202fvulnerability.<span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">What is required is a shift from\u00a0a \u2018professional\u00a0as expert\u2019\u00a0model to a partnership model.\u202f This approach\u202fhelps to develop the capacity\u202fof parents and professionals to create the
