{"id":3563,"date":"2019-12-11T16:53:47","date_gmt":"2019-12-11T05:53:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/ccch\/?p=3563"},"modified":"2020-06-16T11:53:44","modified_gmt":"2020-06-16T01:53:44","slug":"new-platforms-resources","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/ccch\/2019\/12\/11\/new-platforms-resources\/","title":{"rendered":"Platforms Guide"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Platforms is a place-based, community-led approach that seeks to improve the environments and experiences of children in the communities in which they are born, live, learn and grow.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Platforms Guide\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The\u00a0new <u>Platforms Guide: Improving children\u2019s wellbeing through community-led change<\/u>\u00a0is a tool designed to support services, community groups and governments to successfully implement the Platforms approach in a community.<\/p>\n<p>The Guide provides an overview of the Platforms approach, including its rationale, principles and intended impact.<\/p>\n<p>Each chapter in the Guide outlines a phase of the Platforms Roadmap and includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>an\u00a0<strong>overview\u00a0<\/strong>of the phase<\/li>\n<li>key\u00a0<strong>steps\u00a0<\/strong>within the phase (including why they are important and how to apply them)<\/li>\n<li>additional\u00a0<strong>resources<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>available\u00a0<strong>support<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>check and reflect\u00a0<\/strong>questions to monitor your progress.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rch.org.au\/uploadedFiles\/Main\/Content\/ccchdev\/CCCH-Platforms-Guide-Final-web.pdf\">Download your free copy of the Platforms Guide<\/a><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Platforms Resources <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>We\u2019ve developed a comprehensive set of key resources and compiled links to related reading to support you with implementing Platforms in your community. Each resource is grouped into the relevant phase of the\u00a0<u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rch.org.au\/uploadedImages\/Main\/Content\/ccchdev\/Platforms%20Roadmap%20with%20steps.png\">Platforms Roadmap<\/a><\/u>.<\/p>\n<p>Resources and links are updated as new material becomes available.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rch.org.au\/ccch\/platforms\/#platforms-resources\">Access the Platforms Resources<\/a><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Platforms Training<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Whether you\u2019re new to Platforms, or would like to build your understanding in a certain area, we have a workshop to suit your needs.<\/p>\n<p>There are five practical Platforms workshops to choose from, that you can take independently or consecutively.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rch.org.au\/ccch\/training-dev\/Platforms_training\/\">Go to Platforms Training<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We also offer customised Platforms support in the form of tailored workshops, facilitator training, consultancy and coaching.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>About Platforms<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Platforms was developed by the Centre for Community Child Health in 2005 as a tool for improving outcomes for children in the early years through service redevelopment.<\/p>\n<p>It is informed by evidence and over 15 years of experience applying the approach in communities across Australia.
