{"id":3434,"date":"2019-08-06T08:55:40","date_gmt":"2019-08-05T22:55:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/ccch\/?p=3434"},"modified":"2019-12-12T17:02:04","modified_gmt":"2019-12-12T06:02:04","slug":"new-ccch-director-appointed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/ccch\/2019\/08\/06\/new-ccch-director-appointed\/","title":{"rendered":"New CCCH Director"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Professor Sharon Goldfeld is appointed Director of the Centre for Community Child Health, <\/strong><strong>a Department of The Royal Children\u2019s Hospital and <\/strong><strong>a research group of Murdoch Children\u2019s Research Institute.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This year the Centre celebrates its 25th anniversary. This milestone coincides with a change in the Centre\u2019s leadership. Our Founding Director, Professor Frank Oberklaid and Deputy Director, Associate Professor Jill Sewell, have stepped down from their directorial duties after 25 years dedicated to building the Centre and improving the lives of children and families.<\/p>\n<p>Sharon Goldfeld \u2013 Deputy Director of the Centre for the past two years \u2013 formally assumed the role of Director on Thursday 1 August 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Sharon brings a wealth of experience and commitment to the role, having dedicated over 20 years to the Centre.<\/p>\n<p>She is a recognised leader nationally and internationally in policy, research and paediatric practice, and has spent her career focused on investigating, testing and translating sustainable policy-relevant service solutions that improve inequities for Australian children.
