{"id":2115,"date":"2016-09-20T15:24:09","date_gmt":"2016-09-20T05:24:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/ccch\/?p=2115"},"modified":"2018-12-18T13:59:20","modified_gmt":"2018-12-18T02:59:20","slug":"when-doctors-and-parents-disagree","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/ccch\/2016\/09\/20\/when-doctors-and-parents-disagree\/","title":{"rendered":"When doctors and parents disagree"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CCCH Deputy Director, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rch.org.au\/ccch\/about\/people\/Associate_Professor_Jill_Sewell\/\">Associate Professor Jill Sewell<\/a>, spoke on the ABC&#8217;s LifeMatters program on Friday 9 September about what happens when parents and clinicians disagree about the treatment for children.<\/p>\n<p>Jill Sewell, in her role as a developmental paediatrician at The Royal Children&#8217;s Hospital&#8217;s Centre for Community Child Health explained that parents want to do anything they possibly can to support their children to have a better outcome.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The parents always care.
