With the skills you develop, you will be helped to respond effectively to child public health issues in your community, and work environment.<\/p>\n<p>The program is coordinated by The Royal Children\u2019s Hospital Centre for Community Child Health.<\/p>\n<p>The Child Public Health program uses the ecological model as a framework to explore contemporary child health issues, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the impact of poverty and disadvantage<\/li>\n<li>Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander issues<\/li>\n<li>cross-cultural issues<\/li>\n<li>nutrition<\/li>\n<li>mental health<\/li>\n<li>integrated service delivery<\/li>\n<li>education and care environments<\/li>\n<li>child-focused policy development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is available as professional development or through the University of Melbourne\u2019s Master of Public Health.<\/p>\n<p>If you have an interest in children\u2019s health and wellbeing, public health, community and child health and community paediatrics, this course is a must.<\/p>\n<p><b>Date: <\/b>16, 17, 20, 21, 22, 23 July (6 days)<\/p>\n<p><b>Venue: <\/b>The Royal Children\u2019s Hospital, Flemington Road, Parkville<\/p>\n<p><b>Time: <\/b>9am\u20134.30 pm<\/p>\n<p><b>Places are limited\u2014register early to avoid disappointment!<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><a title=\"Click here\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rch.org.au\/ccch\/profdev\/Child_Public_Health_elective\/?LangType=3081\">Click here<\/a> for more information and to register.<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Extend your skills and knowledge with the Child Public Health professional development program.
