Active participation of parents can support the future wellbeing of children and the prosperity of our whole nation.<\/p>\n<p>At this event, we are thrilled to welcome a parent representative and service representatives from the <a title=\"Empowering Parents, Empowering Communities (EPEC) program\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cpcs.org.uk\/index.php?page=empowering-parents-empowering-communities\" target=\"_blank\">Empowering Parents, Empowering Communities (EPEC) program<\/a>, which is closely linked to <a title=\"Tasmanian Child and Family Centres.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.education.tas.gov.au\/parents_carers\/early_years\/Programs-and-Initiatives\/Pages\/Child-and-Family-Centres.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Tasmanian Child and Family Centres.<\/a> We will also feature practice examples of parent engagement in Victoria. Dianne Jackson, the new CEO of the Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth, will share her thoughts about a new national initiative with a focus on parent engagement.
