{"id":440,"date":"2019-10-10T02:26:00","date_gmt":"2019-10-10T02:26:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/ccch-school-readiness\/?page_id=440"},"modified":"2021-07-12T00:22:54","modified_gmt":"2021-07-12T00:22:54","slug":"family-partnership-course","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/ccch-school-readiness\/family-partnership-course\/","title":{"rendered":"Family Partnership Model"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Family Partnership Model is an evidence-based relational approach that enables professionals to develop an open dialogue with parents, respond to the emerging needs of children and families and effectively support parents to achieve shared goals that improve the lives of children.<\/p>\n<h2>Introduction to the Family Partnership Model:\u00a0Building and sustaining\u00a0relationships with parents<\/h2>\n<p><strong>A series of facilitated sessions that introduce practitioners to the Family Partnership Model with particular focus on building and sustaining a partnership relationship with parents.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This series of facilitated on-line seminars are informed by the content of the Family Partnership Model and have been adapted to on-line delivery. They are designed to be delivered sequentially with a consistent group of participants, preferably in groups of nine or twelve to enable breakout groups of three.<\/p>\n<p>Content of sessions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An introductory session \u2013 Why engage parents? What we know about parent engagement<\/li>\n<li>Introduction to the Family Partnership Model<\/li>\n<li>Skills involved in engaging and helping families<\/li>\n<li>Family ecology \u2013 risk and resilience factors<\/li>\n<li>Review within a partnership<\/li>\n<li>Review of the course and reflecting on my practice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Workshop details<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Delivery:\u00a0<\/strong>online<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duration:\u00a0<\/strong>9 hour workshop (6 x 90 minute sessions)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cost: <\/strong>$458 incl GST per\u00a0participant<\/p>\n<p><strong>Individuals and small groups can register for our events via our training calendar.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"rch-darkgrey\"><a class=\"rch-button rch-large-plain ui-button ui-widget ui-state-default ui-corner-all ui-button-text-only\" role=\"button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rch.org.au\/ccch\/training-dev\/Family_partnership_training\/##Introduction_to_FPM\"><span class=\"ui-button-text\">Register now<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Family Partnership Model Foundation Course<\/h2>\n<p>The course supports professionals to work with families to identify their needs, to build genuine and respectful \u2018partnerships\u2019, to set goals and to help families to achieve these goals. The course takes an adult learning approach which values, recognises and builds on the experience that participants bring with them.<\/p>\n<p>Over the five day course, you will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>explore how the family partnership model enhances professionals capacity to work collaboratively with families<\/li>\n<li>explore how helper qualities and skills, when used in partnership, can enable parents and families to overcome their difficulties and build on their strengths<\/li>\n<li>access tools to enable you to effectively work towards shared goals with families<\/li>\n<li>practice implementing new knowledge and skills in a safe and supportive environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Workshop details<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Delivery: <\/strong>face-to-face<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duration: <\/strong>5 days<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cost: <\/strong>$1,312 incl GST per participant (Metropolitan Melbourne &amp; Regional Victoria)<\/p>\n<p>Face-to-face workshops will incur additional travel expenses. Ideally participants should be on their own device and not sharing screens with other participants.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Face-to-face:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Organisations must provide venue and catering.
