Modules 3, 4 and 5 are focused on specific age groups from 0-8 years and provides further detail on children\u2019s specific developmental periods.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Module 1: Introduction to child learning and development<\/b><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Learn more about children\u2019s health, how they grow and develop, and how your understanding of learning and development is important to the work you do with children and their families.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Module 2: More about child learning and development (prenatal to 8 years)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Learn more about the risk and protective factors that affect how children grow and develop, as well as the importance of your relationships with children and their families. Build upon your understanding of how your practice can strengthen the parent\/child relationship.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Module 3: Prenatal to three years \u2013 becoming curious about people and the world around them<\/b><b>.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Learn more about how a healthy pregnancy and birth support a child\u2019s growth and development, and how children are active contributors to their own learning.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Module 4: Three to five years \u2013 participating in an expanding social world<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Learn more about the key experiences and transitions of children aged 3-5 years and how reflecting on your daily interactions with children informs your learning and teaching.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Module 5: Five to eight years &#8211; towards greater independence<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Learn more about the developmental activities and key transitions of children aged 5-8 years<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and how your practice supports parents to promote their child\u2019s learning, health and development.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Target audience<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Laying the Foundations is suitable for all professionals who work with children and families, including early childhood educators and those working with families experiencing vulnerability.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Early years frameworks<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The eLearning aligns with current early years quality frameworks, including the National Quality Standard and Framework, the Early Years Learning Framework, the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and the Framework for School Age Care.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Duration<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Five modules that take between 20-40 minutes to complete.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Kindergartens and professionals will have access to the eLearning for 12 months after purchase.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Cost<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mcri.learnupon.com\/store\/518595-laying-the-foundations\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Laying the Foundation eLearning<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">:<\/span> $154 (incl.
