Attendees were invited to share the challenges they face in undertaking adolescent informed health research in their region or professional sector and what is needed to build capacity to overcome these challenges. This session also showcased some current education initiatives happening in the region aimed at building workforce capacity for adolescent health.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Speakers: <\/strong>Dr Jennifer Dam, Dr Emma A. Llanto &amp; Dr Fransisca H Agung<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><strong>Dr Jennifer Dam<\/strong> is an experienced research coordinator with a PhD in knowledge translation. She currently works in the Centre for Adolescent Health supporting the Centre\u2019s work in Health-Promoting Schools and contributes to the Centre for Research Excellence (CRE) developing education initiatives to help drive research impact in Global Adolescent Health.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><strong>Dr Emma A. Llanto<\/strong>, MD is a pediatrician and adolescent medicine physician based in Manila, Philippines. She is currently the Vice President for East Asia of the IAAH. She is involved in the Adolescent Medicine Fellowship Training at the Philippine General Hospital and in various projects related to medical training.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><strong>Dr Fransisca H Agung<\/strong> is a pediatrician who teaches at the Department of Child and Adolescent Health Universitas Pelita Harapan, Tangerang, Indonesia. She is the co-founder and chairwoman of the Indonesian Adolescent Health Association (Asosiasi Kesehatan Remaja \/ AKAR &#8211; Indonesia). It is a field that spans policy makers from multiple sectors, researchers from different disciplines, and practitioners working in health services, schools and communities and encompasses a multitude of health topics and concerns.
