{"id":4506,"date":"2023-09-20T15:39:49","date_gmt":"2023-09-20T05:39:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/cah\/?p=4506"},"modified":"2023-09-20T15:39:49","modified_gmt":"2023-09-20T05:39:49","slug":"parliamentary-global-health","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/cah\/2023\/09\/20\/parliamentary-global-health\/","title":{"rendered":"Parliamentary Friends of Global Health"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Centre for Adolescent Health was proud to join and launch the <em>Parliamentary Friends of Global Health <\/em>event on Thursday 7 September in Canberra, Australia. \u00a0The event was organised by the <a href=\"https:\/\/ausglobalhealth.org\/\">Australian Global Health Alliance<\/a> and supported by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.melbournechildrens.com\/global-health\/\">Melbourne Children&#8217;s Global Health<\/a> initiative of the Melbourne Children\u2019s Campus \u2013 a partnership of Murdoch Children\u2019s Research Institute; The University of Melbourne, Department of Paediatrics; and The Royal Children\u2019s Hospital, Melbourne.<\/p>\n<p>The Centre\u2019s scientific director of global adolescent health, Professor Pete Azzopardi, and <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/cah\/2022\/06\/06\/cre-youth-advocates-team\/\">CRE Youth Advocates TEam<\/a> (CREYATE) member, Angelica Ojinnaka, with MCRI\u2019s Tropical Diseases Theme Director, Professor Andrew Steer, presented a shared vision for child and adolescent health in the Indo-Pacific.
