\"\"Catalysing Connections <\/em>brings together different disciplines and sectors to discuss topical areas in adolescent health and wellbeing. In this first event we discuss the fragmentation in adolescent health services. Few places have established comprehensive and integrated models of care. Rather, service systems have focussed on single health issues, with resulting gaps in care, and a failure to take health services to scale, limiting access and care. Current initiatives including the National Child Action Plan and Victoria\u2019s Royal Commission on Mental Health offer opportunities to influence the development of adolescent health service systems. In this session, Professor Russell Viner will describe the UK’s plans to implement a comprehensive and integrated health service response from birth to 24 years. The panel and discussion will explore similar opportunities that exist in the Australian context.<\/p>\n
