{"id":2084,"date":"2015-08-14T08:41:47","date_gmt":"2015-08-13T22:41:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/cah\/?p=2084"},"modified":"2015-09-01T14:55:52","modified_gmt":"2015-09-01T04:55:52","slug":"visit-of-xue-gao","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/cah\/2015\/08\/14\/visit-of-xue-gao\/","title":{"rendered":"Visit of Xue Gao"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/cah\/files\/2015\/08\/Xue-e1439505450244.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-2085 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/cah\/files\/2015\/08\/Xue-e1439505450244.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Centre for Adolescent Health was pleased to recently host Dr. Xue Gao, for\u00a0 part of her research training in Adolescent Health.<\/p>\n<p>Xue came to the Centre for Adolescent Health three months ago, on an Endeavour Research Fellowship supported by the Australian Department of Education and Training. During her time here, she had the opportunities to learn extensively about\u00a0adolescent health and well-being through a range of approaches.<\/p>\n<p>Her placement included attending regular clinical, research and education meetings within the Centre, various seminars on the RCH\/MCRI\/University of Melbourne campuses, and\u00a0several\u00a0outreach and advocacy events in the community.\u00a0She\u00a0\u00a0also participated in a research project examining the complexity of adolescent medicine at RCH.<\/p>\n<p>During her time here, she not only learned a great deal about adolescent health from the medical and research perspectives, but also developed a much deeper appreciation of the psychosocial aspect. She was very taken with\u00a0how the research, clinical services and education are integrated and support each other here.
