{"id":1931,"date":"2014-07-07T11:35:49","date_gmt":"2014-07-07T01:35:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/cah\/?p=1931"},"modified":"2014-07-07T11:35:49","modified_gmt":"2014-07-07T01:35:49","slug":"visiting-scottish-academics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/cah\/2014\/07\/07\/visiting-scottish-academics\/","title":{"rendered":"Visiting Scottish academics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/cah\/files\/2014\/07\/Scots_2014.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-1932\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/cah\/files\/2014\/07\/Scots_2014.jpg\" alt=\"Scots_2014\" width=\"158\" height=\"134\" \/><\/a>The Centre for Adolescent Health was pleased to host four visiting Scottish academics from the University of West of Scotland who spent 10 days exploring a range of programs run by the Centre for Adolescent Health and the RCH, including Adolescent Medicine, the Young People&#8217;s Health Service and various programs relating to transition to adult health care and child protection.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Jean Herbison is a Consultant Paediatrician at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow with expertise in Child Protection and Sexual Abuse.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Jean Rankin is Senior Lecturer and Academic Director for Midwifery at the university, responsible for developing the research agenda within the Maternal, Child and Family Health Subject Development Group.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Jackie McFadyen is a Senior Lecturer and has led the Health Visiting and Sexual Health Programmes for many years.
