{"id":1996,"date":"2021-11-12T10:21:04","date_gmt":"2021-11-11T23:21:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/alumni\/?p=1996"},"modified":"2022-09-04T14:15:13","modified_gmt":"2022-09-04T04:15:13","slug":"agm-and-presidents-report-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/alumni\/agm-and-presidents-report-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"AGM and President&#8217;s report 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>AGM and President\u2019s Report 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>AGM 9 November 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The AGM of the Alumni Association was held via Zoom on 9th November at 6.30 pm.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was chaired by Ms Ruth Wraith OAM, the President.<\/p>\n<p>There were 29 members present and apologies were received from 10 members.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/alumni\/files\/2021\/11\/2021-Presidents-report.pdf\"><strong>President\u2019s repor<\/strong>t<\/a>\u00a0for the year was presented by Ruth Wraith.<\/p>\n<p>The financial report was presented by the Treasurer, Prof James (Jim) Wilkinson AM.<\/p>\n<p>Both reports were accepted, having been moved and seconded.<\/p>\n<p>Election of office bearers followed with a single candidate having been proposed and seconded for each of the four positions \u2013 President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.<\/p>\n<p>Prof James (Jim) Wilkinson AM was elected as the President for 2022. Dr Garry Warne AM was elected as Vice President, Dr Caroline Clarke was elected as Honorary Secretary and Prof George Werther AO was elected as Treasurer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The meeting closed at 6.58 PM and was followed by a talk given by Prof Sharon Goldfeld,\u00a0Director of the Centre for Community Child Health at RCH and Theme Director Population Health and Co-group leader of Policy and Equity at the Murdoch Children\u2019s Research Institute with the title \u201cRadical Pragmatism \u2013 can we address the inequities in child health and development in a generation?\u201d.
